Full-Time SpEd Teacher at Panguitch Elementary School

Position Announcement:

Garfield County School District is hiring a Full-Time Special Education Teacher beginning with the 2026-2027 school year. This position is in Panguitch, Utah, working with students in kindergarten through 6th grade.  

Salary:

Step & Lane will be determined based on the 2026-2027 Garfield County School District Salary Schedules, competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a benefited position, working 160 day contract/4 days a week; and includes retirement, health/life insurance & paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the creation, implementation, and revision of Individualized Education Plans for students at Panguitch Elementary

• Collecting and analyzing data to track student progress, identifying areas of improvement, and making necessary adjustments to instructional approaches.

• Collaborating with parents, faculty, SpEd Director, and related service providers to develop and implement effective learning plans that address the unique needs of each student.

• Providing specialized instruction in the core subjects in a self-contained, pull-out setting, and/or supporting the teaching of Panguitch Elementary students in the regular education classroom

• Ensure that all individuals with exceptional needs are appropriately identified, assessed, and provided appropriate education programs and services to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have or be capable of obtaining a Utah teaching license & needed endorsements within the time frame set by the board of education. Applicants must be fingerprinted and satisfactorily pass an employment background check.
