Para-Professional at Bryce Valley Elementary School
POSITION AVAILABLE:
Garfield County School District is hiring a part-time Para-Professional at Bryce Valley Elementary School. This position will work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings in the preschool assisting the preschool teacher and providing support to our students with special needs. This position is 12 hours per week and will receive no benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support students individually or in small groups with academic tasks.
· Assist with accommodations, modifications, and instructional activities.
· Supervise students to ensure safety in classrooms and non-classroom areas.
· Assist teacher with classroom organization and preparing materials.
· Maintain confidentiality and follow school and district procedures.
SALARY:
Beginning Para-Professional hourly rate according to 2026-2027 Garfield County School District Classified Salary Schedule. This position may be eligible for the Specialty Para-Professional hourly rate according to the 2026-2027 Garfield County School District Classified Salary Schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have at least a High School Diploma and two years of college education or may complete the Para Pro Test to become highly qualified. Applicants must be fingerprinted and satisfactorily pass an employment background check.
