Administrator at Bryce Valley Elementary School
Position Announcement: Garfield County School District is pleased to offer a significant leadership position for a committed and forward-thinking individual to serve as Principal of Bryce Valley Elementary School. This position is in Tropic, Utah and presents an exceptional opportunity to impact and guide the educational direction for students in the Bryce Valley community. This position will also encompass additional district responsibilities aimed at maintaining the high standards in Garfield County School District.
Salary: Step & Lane will be determined based on the 2025-2026 Garfield County School District Administrative Salary Schedule; competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position will be on a 240-day contract and includes retirement, health/life insurance & paid time off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Vision: Provide visionary leadership and promoting academic excellence and fostering a positive, inclusive school culture.
- Curriculum Oversight: Ensure the development and implementation of comprehensive curriculum that meet the diverse needs of students at the elementary level.
- Staff Development: Lead, manage, and support a diverse team of educators and administrative staff, promoting professional growth and excellence in teaching.
- Community Engagement: Engage with parents, students, and the wider community to build strong relationships and support a collaborative educational environment.
- Policy and Compliance: Ensure BVES complies with district policies, state regulations, and educational standards.
- Resource Management: Oversee budgeting and resource allocation, ensuring effective use of funds to support educational goals and improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement efforts based on data, student performance, and stakeholder feedback.
Qualifications:
- Endorsement: Current administrative endorsement required. Candidates in the process of obtaining their endorsement will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching and/or administrative roles within elementary education is preferred.
- Certifications: Valid teaching license. Additional endorsements for elementary education are highly desirable.
