Administrator for Garfield Online Elementary School
Position Announcement:
Full-Time Online School Administrator / Director of Volunteer for Good Program in Garfield County School District:

This full-time assignment combines instructional leadership for our statewide K-6 online school with oversight of district-wide service-learning and volunteer initiatives. The successful applicant will champion high-quality virtual instruction and cultivate a culture of community service across Garfield County schools.
Salary:
Salary will follow the 2025-2026 Administrative Salary Schedule for the online-school duties and the 2025-2026 Certified Teacher Salary Schedule for the Volunteer for Good duties. Step and lane placement will reflect verified teaching experience and qualifications, up to ten years. Benefits include URS retirement, medical/life insurance, and paid leave. The role is a 10-month contract, renewed annually contingent on continued funding.
Key Responsibilities:
Online School Administration (half of position)
- Lead day-to-day operations and instructional quality for Garfield Online Elementary.
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate online teachers; coordinate professional development.
- Oversee curriculum, assessment, student data, and program compliance.
- Partner with families and district staff to ensure engaging, supportive virtual learning.
Volunteer for Good Program Leadership (half of position)
- Launch and oversee the district’s service-learning and volunteer program.
- Train school coordinators and design projects that align with academic goals and community needs.
- Build partnerships with local organizations and manage program budgets and grants.
- Track participation data, report outcomes, and coordinate recognition events.
Qualifications:
- Endorsement: Current administrative endorsement required. Candidates in the process of obtaining their endorsement will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in elementary teaching and/or administrative roles preferred.
- Certifications: Valid teaching license with elementary education endorsement.
- Preference will be given to applicants within the boundaries of Garfield County School District.
