Assistant Debate Coach at Bryce Valley High School
POSITION AVAILABLE:
Garfield County School District is seeking applications for an Assistant Debate Coach at Bryce Valley High School in Tropic, Utah beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
This position will assist the head coach:
- In developing students’ passion for debate and critical thinking while also helping them grow into confident speakers.
- Assist students with research, case development, and practice debates.
- Provide feedback on argumentation, style, and strategy.
- Help foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive debate environment.
- Have excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Show enthusiasm for mentoring and motivating students.
- Have availability for practices and tournaments.
SALARY: Coaching Stipend will be paid according to the 2025-2026 Garfield County School District Extra-Curricular Activities Claim Voucher.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must satisfactorily pass an employment background check.
