Registered Behavior Technician at Bryce Valley High School
POSITION AVAILABLE:
Garfield County School District is seeking a compassionate, motivated individual to join our student support team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Bryce Valley High School in Tropic, UT. This position will be 28 hours per week and will receive no benefits.
The selected applicant will work directly with students under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), supporting behavioral, social, and life skill development.
The RBT will work one-on-one and in small groups with students, focusing on:
- Behavioral support & relationship-building
- Self-regulation coaching during challenging times
- Daily check-ins, reset breaks, and executive functioning help
- Support during Mustang Time, lunch detention, and transitions
- Tracking progress in attendance, behavior, and class engagement
- Mentorship and guidance during service-learning (Volunteer for Good)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to complete the RBT training program
- Successful completion of the RBT competency assessment and certification exam
- Ongoing participation in supervision and professional development to maintain RBT credentialing
- A passion for working with children in a supportive, structured environment
PREFERRED QUALITIES:
- Experience in education, psychology, or behavioral health is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow behavior plans and data collection procedures with fidelity
SALARY:
Beginning Para-Professional hourly rate according to 2025-2026 Garfield County School District Classified Salary Schedule. This position is eligible for the Specialty Para-Professional hourly rate according to the 2025-2026 Garfield County School District Classified Salary Schedule.
