Full-Time Math Teacher at Escalante High School
POSITION AVAILABLE:
Garfield County School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time teacher certified in Secondary Level III or Level IV Math at Escalante High School in Escalante, Utah, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based mathematics instruction.
- Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and student achievement.
- Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to support school goals and student success.
- Participate in school activities, professional development, and other assigned duties.
SALARY:
Step & Lane will be determined based on the 2026-2027 Garfield County School District Salary Schedules, competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a benefited position, working 160-day contract/4 days a week; and includes retirement, health/life insurance & paid time off.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must have or be capable of obtaining a Utah teaching license & needed endorsements within the time frame set by the board of education. Applicants must be fingerprinted and satisfactorily pass an employment background check. Preference will be given to teachers who are qualified to teach multiple content areas.
