Administrator/Teacher for Garfield Online Elementary School

Position Announcement:

Garfield County School District is seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to join our Elementary Online School beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. This position is full-time and will be half teacher and half administrator.  Garfield Online is a K-6 school that serves elementary grade level students across the State of Utah. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and contribute to an online educational environment, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for our elementary students. This position is online with regular in-person meetings within Garfield County School District.

Salary:

Step & Lane will be determined based on the 2025-2026 Garfield County School District Administrative Salary Schedule; commensurate with applicable teaching experience and qualifications. The contract duration is year to year and subject to annual renewal based on funding. This position includes retirement, health/life insurance & paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Online Teaching and Administration: Oversee and participate in the delivery of high-quality online elementary education.
• Curriculum Development: Collaborate in developing and implementing engaging and effective online learning curricula.
• Staff Supervision: Manage and support a team of online educators, fostering professional development and excellence in teaching.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with parents, students, and district administrators to ensure a supportive and effective online learning environment.
• Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with district policies and educational standards in the online learning context.
• Budget Management: Oversee budget and resources, ensuring alignment with funding and educational goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess and improve online educational practices based on student performance data and feedback.

Qualifications:

• Endorsement: Current administrative endorsement required. Candidates in the process of obtaining their endorsement will be considered.
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in elementary teaching and/or administrative roles preferred.
• Certifications: Valid teaching license with elementary education endorsement.
• Preference will be given to applicants within the boundaries of Garfield County School District.
