Para-Professional at Panguitch High School
POSITION AVAILABLE:
Garfield County School District is now accepting applications for a part-time para-professional at Panguitch High School. The successful applicant will be assisting the special education teacher up to 28 hours per week with no benefits.
SALARY:
Beginning Para-Professional hourly rate according to 2025-2026 Garfield County School District Classified Salary Schedule. This position may be eligible for the Specialty Para-Professional hourly rate according to the 2025-2026 Garfield County School District Classified Salary Schedule.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support students individually or in small groups with academic tasks.
- Assist with accommodations, modifications, and instructional activities.
- Supervise students to ensure safety in classrooms and non-classroom areas.
- Provide personal care assistance when required by a student’s IEP.
- Assist teacher with classroom organization and preparing materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow school and district procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have at least a High School Diploma and two years of college education or may complete the Para Pro Test to become highly qualified. Upon hiring, the successful applicant must be fingerprinted and satisfactorily pass an employmentbackground check.
