Welcome Back Students

I would personally like to welcome all of the students in Garfield School District to a new school year. I know teachers will be ready to welcome students into their new classrooms. I have confidence in the teachers in our District to provide a caring environment where students feel safe, valued and receive a high level of academic instruction. Many employees have spent many hours during the summer to prepare for the first day of school. I appreciate the custodians and classified personnel in the District who work during summer to assure the facilities and transportation are ready to begin the year. The District has hired seven new teachers for the 2014-2015 school year. Please review the materials sent home by the schools and your child’s teacher at the beginning of the year to help them understand the procedures and expectations in the classroom. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher for additional clarifications or the building administrator. Students, welcome to the beginning of another successful year!
