UHSAA Region Classification

The Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA) is the leadership organization for high school athletics and fine arts in Utah. The (UHSAA) recently provided a press release explaining changes in the classification and regions for 2015-2017. A public hearing was held on Wednesday, December 3rd to allow the Board of Trustees to receive feedback from districts and schools relating to the discussions of realinment. The proposal for classifications and regions was approved by the Board of Trustees on December 4th. The first contest under the new alignment will take place the fall of 2015. All three high schools in the Garfield School District will remain in Region 20. The schools in Region 20 will consist of Bryce Valley, Diamond Ranch, Escalante, Milford, Panguitch, Parowan, Piute, Valley, Wayne, and Ash Creek Ranch. We wish those students who participate in the extracurricular and fine arts programs associated with the UHSAA the best of luck.
