GCSD Business Administrator

Garfield County School District is pleased to announce Patty Murphy as the new Business Administrator. She comes to the District with over 20 years of school finance experience in successfully handling various state and district finances. Patty began her career in the Duchesne School District working as a Child Nutrition Manager. The Utah State Office of Education hired Patty to oversee, administer, and implement a $2.5 billion Minimum School Program and other school funds. Patty served as the Business Administrator of the Park City School District for six years where she successfully implemented a new fiscal system, improved financial processes, and brought the District into compliance with GAAP, and state and federal laws. She then returned to the Utah State Office of Education to again oversee and administer the State’s now $3.4 billion Minimum School Program and other state programs to all school districts in the state. Patty has a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master degree in Economics from the University of Utah. We are excited to welcome Patty to Garfield School District and look forward to working with her in the future.
